I am really delighted to announce this officially. Last week SINI (Sports Institute of Northern Ireland) released the press release below. This is a fantastic relationship for both SINI and Dartfish, and going forward I think the athletes based in SINI will continue to receive top class sports science support as many of them prepare for London 2012.
Over the coming weeks I will be posting examples of some of the work Johnny Bradley and his team use Dartfish for. So Stay tuned!
Press Release
The Sports Institute Northern Ireland (SINI) has announced a new two year partnership with Dartfish, a world leader in video analysis innovation, naming them as preferred supplier of video analysis software.
Jonathan Bradley, Lead Performance Analyst for SINI, discussed the significance of the partnership, saying,
“We have been using Dartfish in SINI for a number of years now and we believe this new partnership will allow us to further improve the provision of performance analysis in SINI. Dartfish makes it possible for us to provide athletes and their coaches 24-hour access to performance analysis services anywhere in the world. This allows a more flexible and responsive approach to working in partnership with coaches and athletes, particularly during training camps and international competitions.
We will be utilising Dartfish software across a diverse range of sports, including athletics, archery, basketball and rowing. I look forward to working with Dartfish in the future, and we are confident that their innovation, combined with SINI’s expertise, will allow us to find out new and original ways of maximising the performances of our athletes.”
Rob Carroll of Dartfish Ireland, also welcomed the announcement, commenting,
“Dartfish are delighted to have formed this partnership with SINI. It gives both parties an excellent opportunity to help each other over the coming years. SINI have taken a giant leap forward in terms of the implementation of Dartfish across their organisation and in the long run this will significantly benefit the athletes of Northern Ireland.”
